Getting to Les Gets

Les Gets is a charming village in the Portes du Soleil, one of the largest ski areas in the world. Geneva International Airport (GVA) is the primary gateway, approximately 70-80 km away, with transfer times typically around 1 hour 15 minutes.

1. Private Transfer (Recommended for Family Explorer & Tranquil Traveller)

This is the most convenient and stress-free option. A pre-booked private vehicle will meet you at the airport and take you straight to your accommodation.

Pros: Door-to-door service, no waiting, comfortable, ideal for families.

Cons: Most expensive option.

2. Shared Shuttle / Minibus (Popular & Cost-Effective)

A pre-booked seat in a shared minibus that consolidates passengers arriving around the same time.

Pros: More affordable than a private transfer, less hassle than public transport.

Cons: May involve waiting and multiple drop-offs.

3. Rental Car (Recommended for Mountain Warrior & Independent Travelers)

Rent a car directly at Geneva Airport. Winter tyres/snow chains are mandatory in winter.

Pros: Flexibility and independence to explore.

Cons: Requires driving in potentially snowy conditions, parking can be challenging.

Route: A40 (Autoroute Blanche) towards Chamonix, Exit 18 (Cluses), then D902 to Les Gets.

4. Public Transport (Cheapest)

A combination of a train from Geneva to Cluses, and then a bus from Cluses to Les Gets.

Pros: Cheapest option.

Cons: Very time-consuming, multiple changes, difficult with luggage.
